Monster Hunter World: Iceborne receives its first big update tomorrow and brings new interesting features. The most important is, of course, the addition of Rajang and a new Lands guiding section, but the developers shared some more modest changes in a new video published today. In just a few seconds of the 15-minute video, developers addressed what could be the best part of the update for fashionable hunters: an extended layered shielding system.
In Monster Hunter World, the layered armor is a special cosmetic equipment that you can equip over your normal armor set, allowing you to keep the benefits of this set while changing your appearance. Most superimposed armor came from some quests and included both cool appearance armor and styling styles, such as those that allow you to wear a Palico mask. The superimposed armor frequently came from special event quests, such as crossings with other games, which allow you to transform yourself into other characters, like Horizon Zero Dawn Aloy, The sorceleur 3 's geralt and ciri, or _Idable can cry dante.
The same principles will apply to coming layered shields, but the system is being expanded. Instead of focusing on event-based sets, layered armor now offer a selection of armor based on various monsters. So, if you like the look of the Jagras armor but you do not want to lose the statistics of your high-level equipment, you can simply create a set of armor superimposed with the look you like and do not have to choose Between watching and staying alive. These new layered armor can be made on Smithy as other armor, and will require materials found in the guide lands.
To begin, only some armor sets will be added to the superimposed armor. Developers have not yet announced exactly, but there seems to be a fairly extended range so far. It's a good bet they will add more styles to the list in future updates.
