Our guide to switch off each monster in Monster Hunter World
Monster Hunter World is a game in which it is about hunting monsters. If you have not played the game yet, there is really no better time than now, especially with the news that the PC and console versions will soon be pending. You are also very interested in learning everything about the beasts you will face during the game. While we have a guide for all monsters added to the DLC Monster Hunter World Iceborne, but you can view all the main game monsters listed below.
It's not just about hacking and slashing. To combat each monster in Monster Hunter World is a special and uniquely sophisticated challenge for themselves and there is a lot to learn while they work through the ranking. For this reason, we thought they could estimate a massive collapse of the Bestiarium of Monter Hunter World. And that's why we wrote one here. Read it and be prepared, because knowledge is power.
It is worth reading these instructions before you move into a fight to make sure your armor is the right type to protect yourself from the different elemental attacks you are exposed. And do not forget to supply yourself with impregnations, anties and other remedies before they also go to the wilderness.
The monsters below are sorted so you fight them, and we omitted the smaller beasts like the normal Jagras, as they do not require much strategy to fight out except landing strikes.
This Monster Hunter World Monster Guide is currently in progress, and more older dragons and other mythical beasts are added, while our hunting team develops in the game .

Grand Jagras
_ * New in the monster Hunter World * _
Location : Urwald Element: N / A Weak points : head, cock, belly At the weakest to : fire, thunder Disease attack (s): N / A
MATERIALS : Big Jagrashaut, big Jagras Doll, Big Jagrasmeas, Big Jagrasklaw, iron ore, Monster Bone S
Although it resembles a hippie-iguana, the Great Jagras is the first monster that you need to hunt in monster Hunter World properly. You are initially fighting with his little brothers and sisters - the normal Jagras - but on the big ones you have to pay attention. They are generally quite fuggling, but if they provoke them or attack the smaller Jagras they meet with, prepare themselves on a fight.
Kulu-ya-ku
_ * New in the monster Hunter World * _
Location : Urwald, Wildspire Waster Element: N / A Weak points: head, legs The weakest against: water Disease attack (s): N / A
MATERIALS: Kulu-Ya-Ku-Fell, Kulu-Ya-Ku Screw, Kulou-Ya-Ku-Feather (Break of the Front Bow), Kulou-Ya-Ku-Ku Beak (Break of the head), Monster Bone S
The Dodo is not dead, he has just moved into the monsters Hunter World and has changed his name because of the crime he made at that time in Kulu-Ya-Ku. Everything is a bit awkward. And so you fight. It uses small limits and even its own eggs to protect themselves from incoming attacks or as projectiles that throws it on them. Use your Slinger to remove them and then go for the best tactics for his exposed belly.
Pukei-Pukei
_ * New in the monster Hunter World * _
Location : Urwald Element: N / A Weak points: Head, wings, tail The weakest against: thunder Disease attack (s): poisoning
MATERIALS: PUKEI PUKEI BOIL (Breakback), Pukei-Pukei Doll, Pukei-Pukei Feather, Pukei-Pukei Bag (Breaking Head), Pukei-Pukei Tail (Break Tail), Monster Bone M
In order to actually gain access to the weakness of the Pukei-Pukei, they must dodge the lizard bird's tongue and carry out the gift stops. The gigantic tongue not only suggests, but is also covered with poison to cause this additional damage. Interestingly, the poison type depends on what the Pukei pukei eats, so that the actual effect of fighting to fight can easily vary, but always armed with thunder weapons. Oh, and have we mentioned that there is also bubbling poison pools? You should really rename it in Pukey-Pukey.
Barroth
Location : Wildspire Waste Element: N / A Weak points: Legs, stomach, tail The weakest against: Water (if muddy), fire (if clean), ice cream Disease attack (s): muddy, water stops
Materials: Barroth Ridge, Barroth Shell, Barroth Claw, Barroth Scalp (more common in higher ranks), Barroth Carapace (higher rages only), Monster Bone M, Fertile Mud, Monster Keenbone (Only in Higher Ranges), Wyvern Gem (only in higher rages)
The Barroth will be a familiar, scaly face for anyone familiar with the Monster Hunter series. But for newcomers, it is a muddy mess, especially because you have to be knocked around with his bone-like armor, which also covered with mud to continue protecting. Goals on the least protected parts - the legs and belly - and use fire when it is clean, water when it is muddy and ice when it stays on the toes.

Jyuratodus
_ * New in the monster Hunter World * _
Location : Wildspire Waste Element: water Weak points: Head, tail The weakest against: Thunder, fire Disease attack (s): water stop, mud
Materials: Jyuratodus Scale, Jyuratodus Cup, Jyuratodus Fan (Breaking Head), Jyuratodus Fin (Breakfast), Jyuratodus Tanks (Higher Rands Only), Wyvern Gem (Higher Ranges Only), Aquasack, Monster Bone M
This huge fishing animal loves to hide in a deep mud and then cover you to slow down you, which makes you more susceptible to attacks. Luckily, it has some weaknesses, of which head, tail and back fins are attacked - although the first two are their specific vulnerabilities. If it covers with mud, you can also remove it with your Slinger armed with Puddle Podmunition.
Tobi-Kadachi
_ * New in the monster Hunter World * _
Location : Urwald Element: Donner Weak points: Head, tail The weakest against: water Disease attack (s): Thunderstick
MATERIALS: TOBI-KADACHI FELL (Breaking back), Tobi-Kadachi electrode (fracture head / tail), Tobi-Kadachi membrane (higher ranks only), Tobi-Kadachi scale, Tobi-Kadachi claw, Monster Bone M, Electrosack, Monster Keenbone (higher ranks only), thunderbag (higher ranks only), Wyvern gem (higher ranks only)
What happens when you cross a flying squirrel with an iguana and then add some electricity? This guy, that's something. The Tobi-Kadachi is flink, lively and has a decent blow on it. So you have to be armed fast and up to the teeth. Preferably with water weapons and ammunition. Do not forget to ensure that your armor is also thundery-resistant.
Anjanath
_ * New in the monster Hunter World * _
Location : Urwald and Wildspire Waste Element: Fire Weak points: Head, tail The weakest against: Water ice Disease attack (s): Fire license
Materials: Anjanath Fur, Anjanath Doll, Anjanath Fang (Breaking Head), Anjanath Nosebone, Anjanath Plate (Breaking Head / Carving Tail) (Higher Rands Only), Anjanath Tail (Shared Tail), Anjanath Gemstone , Monster bones L, flame bag, infernosack (higher ranks only)
You know the Anjanath from the opening area of the game and from all trailers. It is the big T-Rex beast, but unlike his dino ancestor, the Anjanath has also coat and spits away from fire. Big. Wounded him by aimed at the nose as the bone portion appeared, as well as his head and his legs. You can also cut off his tail for a good measure (and additional booty drops). Argue with water weapons and fire-resistant armor and then turn out and reach it until it finally sinks.
Tzitzi-Ya-Ku
_ * New in the monster Hunter World * _
Location : Coral Highlands Element: N / A Weak points: Head The weakest against: Thunder, ice Disease attack (s): stun
Materials: Tzitzi-Ya-Ku-Scala, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku-skin, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku-Claw, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku-Fotophor (Breaking Head, Monster Bone L, Distance)
Another new face for Monster Hunter World is the tzitzi-ya-ku, and yes, it's another lizard. But there is a turn in this, because though this may not be apparent at first glance, it has some headings that jump out and broadcast light. The light pulsates until it triggers a powerful attack stunning you. Make sure you are out of the way before this last pulse and you are in a much better position to attack. It is also partly one or two kicks, but fortunately it's pretty weak, so it does not take long until it fails.
Paolumu
_ * New in the monster Hunter World * _
Location : Coral Highlands Element: N / A Weak points: Head The weakest against: Fire, thunder Disease attack (s): N / A
Materials: Paolumu Screw, Paolumu shell (fracture tail), Paolumu-fur (fracture or neck pocket), Paolumu belt (breakwers), Paolumu wing (higher ranks only), Wyvern gem (higher ranks ), Monster Bone L, nutrient extract, Monster Keenbone (higher ranks only)
Perhaps the cutest monster of Monster Hunter World is the Paolumu, which looks like a bat crossed with a sheep (although it is very similar to the real) Honduranian white bat, what we absolutely want as a pet). However, do not be fooled by his appearance, because his mouth is filled with incredibly sharp teeth and he knows how to use them. The neck bag also fills up, which means that you can swim from the distance and attack. This makes it difficult to beat you if you rely on melee weapons.
Legiana
_ * New in the monster Hunter World * _
Location : Coral Highlands, Rotten Vale Element: ice Weak points: Head, wings, tail The weakest against: Thunder, fire Disease attack (s): ice fire
Materials: Legiana coat (head / back break), Legiana shed, Legiana claw, Legiana webbing (Wing break), Legiana tail belt (tail break), Legiana plate, monster bone, Frostwolke
Before you fully captivate yourself from the leaf-like wings of the Legiana, you should probably remember that it is one of the naturally aggressive monsters around the world. His legs are equipped with knife-sharp claws and he uses these pretty wings to give him an air advantage. It is also tried to use ice against you. So make sure you are prepared before you dip into a fight with this apex predator.
Radobaan
_ * New in the monster Hunter World * _
Location : Rotten Vale Element: N / A Weak points: head, legs The weakest against: Dragon, ice Disease attack (s): sleep
Materials: Radobaan Seashell, Radobaan Doll, Radobaan Oil Shell (Breaking Head / Tail), Radobaan Mark (Break Tail), Wyvern Gem, Radobaan Tank (Higher Rands Only), Radobaan-Medulla (Higher Ranks), Monster Bone L, sleeping bag, Comasack (higher ranks only)
Imagine the Barroth with pointed bones instead of clay plates and they basically have the Radobaan, but because he is a hot bone cluster, he is a nightmare you have to say. And what the whole thing is more disturbing, is that these bones are not actually Seine bones; They are the bones of its victims to which a tar-like substance is glued. To ensure that the skeleton is not added to his collection, they arm themselves with dragon and ice elements and try to avoid his worm rip to any price.
Odogaron
_ * New in the monster Hunter World * _
Location : Rotten Vale, Coral Highlands Element: N / A Weak points: Head, Legs, Tail The weakest against: ice cream, thunder Disease attack (s): bleeding
MATERIALS: Odogaron tendon (fracture legs), Odogaron scales, Odogaron claw (fracture leaflets), Odogaron catch (fracture head), Odogaron tail, monster bone, nutrient extract
The Odogaron is not exactly your friendly neighborhood dog. The opposite is the case. It looks like it's done completely from muscles, with an additional set of claws on every foot and bone, which protrude out of the back and the tail. Would not be caressed. Because of all the top stuff, the Odogaron can bleed you, so take care that you are not in its reach. It's incredibly fast and agile - especially for its size - so scare yourself with a long-distance weapon, if you can.
Rathalos
Location : Urwald Element: Fire Weak points: Head, wings, tail The weakest against: Dragon, thunder Disease attack (s): Fire license, poison, anesthesia
MATERIALS: Rathalos Plate (Breakfast / Head / Cock), Rathalos Doll (Breaking Head), Rathalos Mark (Breaking Back), Rathalos Cup, Rathalos Gurtband (Break Wings), Rathalos Tail (Break Tail), Rath Wing wreath, monster bone, flame bag
You could discover this flying monster if you attack the Anjanath in history, while you start a lawn war in the middle of the fight. It is a huge, winged animal known as the king of the air. It can spit fiery projectiles, hit you with his claws and tail and give you a hard bite. It loves to stay in the air and attacks a little harder than other battles, but a well-placed lightning bomb or a shot of her slinger can bring it to earth. If you really want to annoy it, go to the wing when trying to pick up.
Diblick
Location : Wildspire Waste Element: N / A Weak points: Head, wing, belly The weakest against: Ice Dragon Disease attack (s): stun
MATERIALS: Diablo Grat, Diablos Fang, Diablo Closel, Diablos Tailcase, Diablos Mark (Break Back), Twisted Horn (Break Horn), Monster Bone, Dash Extract
The Diablos is the APEX predator of Wildspire waste. So you will find him a little later in history. Despite the fact that it has wings, it actually lurks in the substrate and is waiting for loud noises to attack prey. Therefore, be aware of hunting that it will dig up under the earth and attack from different angles. It also has a pretty strong roar. So if you can equip with earplugs (by taking certain meals or inserting weapons and arms skills), they are better off.
Zorah Magdaros
_ * New in the monster Hunter World * _
Location : N / A Element: Fire Weak points: Head, Belly, Magmacore The weakest against: Dragon, water Disease attack (s): Fire license
Materials: Zorah Magdaros Thermal Scale, Zorah Magdaros Grat, Zorah Magdaros Pleura, Zorah Magdaros Magma, Zorah Magdaros Tank, Zorah Magdaros Gem
Do you still know when this great fiery thing destroys your ship and send your Palico to the depth at the beginning of the game? Well, that was this Elder Dragon. It is basically your big evil for most of the story, like a huge volcano to protrude over your happy monster hunt. Good that it is similar to a huge volcano. Luckily, you will only encounter if the game prompts you to fight it, as it is displayed on the map as a brand new place. You can not make dents in the shell with normal weapons. So either target the Magmacore heat organs that appear on the body, or grab with cannons and ballists after the head or the stomach.
Pink Rathian
Location : Coral Highlands Element: Fire Weak points: Head, wings, tail The weakest against: Dragon, thunder Disease attack (s): poisoning
MATERIALS: Pink Rathian Dish (Breakfast / Head / Cock), Pink Rathian Doll, Pink Rathian Seashell (Breaking Head), Pink Rathian Dorn (Breakfast), Pink Rathian Belt, Pink Rathian Wing Wing (Breaking Wings ), Monster Bone L, flame bag
We annoy us a little about the gender stereotype with this monster, because the pink Rathian is actually the female version of the Rathalos. Like the Rathalos it breathes fire, but it can also poison you and is far harder armored, faster and stronger than his male counterpart. Women's power and all this.
Nergigante
Location : Wildspire Waste, Elder's Recess Element: Only physically
Weak points: head, pine, front legs The weakest against: Flash dragon Disease attack (s): N / A
Materials: (all high rank) immortal dragon scales, nourgant tanks, nourgant claw, nourgant horn (fragment horns), nourgant nachwax plate, nourgant gemstone, nourgant tail (cut cock), elder-dragon Bone, Elder Dragon Blood
The nergigious is basically the Hulk of Monster Hunter World (yes, more than all other monsters on this list) because he just like to smash things. You can not catch it, you can not find out what it is because it's just about physical attacks.
Bazelgeuse
Location : Jungle, Coral Highlands, Morsches Valley, Wildspire Waste, Elderbreak Element: Fire Weak points: Head, Wings, Tail * * The weakest against: Thunder, Dragon, Ice Disease attack (s): Fire license
Materials: (for high ranks only) Bazelgeuse scale, Bazelgeuse tanks (breakage), Bazelgeuse claw, Bazelgeuse fuse (fracture head), Bazelgeuse wings (breakwers), Bazeluse gem (fracture head, tail or legs ), Bazelus tail (cutting tail), Bazelgeuse backup, Bazelgeuse bones.
The Bazelgueese is an optional monster, but still a great one. It meets when you fight against other monsters and get in rase curls - what your life is considerably more difficult. If you try to find it, just go to the next big monster you can find, and then he'll probably come and find. Big. _ We will add new monsters to this guide if we chase them. _
